Iran animation ‘The Servant’ awarded at FRESCO filmfest

Iranian animation ‘The Servant’ has won an award at the FRESCO Int’l Festival of Modern Art and Spiritual Films in Armenia.

Directed by Farnoush Abedi, the animation received the Best Animation Film certificate at the end of the fourth edition of the event on September 3.

‘The Servant’ also won Best Animation Award of the 40th edition of the Elche International Independent Film Festival, recently held in Spain.

The animation narrates the familiar story of a master and his servant, the story of a writer’s encounter with a gigantic insect, a cockroach.

The cockroach becomes a servant but gradually begins to realize that it deserves better conditions, so it tries to turn the table and change the game to its own favor.

The man, however, attempts to preserve the current situation but soon realizes that the game has no rules.

FRESCO festival is an annual event which is a great opportunity for the reassessment of the spiritual and cultural heritage; for cultural dialogue with people of other countries; for self-knowledge and raising the national consciousness in this context.

This edition of the event was held on August 25- September 3, 2017.
